Lori Hoelscher

Lori (Bean) Hoelscher

Lori Hoelscher has been teaching dance for over 20 years. Before opening Act III in North Haven in 2010, Lori was the owner and main instructor of Rhythm Dance Studio in Cheshire for many years. She previously taught dance, trained extensively, and performed on a professional level in Los Angeles for 7 years. 

Lori grew up in Wallingford and loves this community!  She graduated from Lyman Hall High School, and has a BS in mathematics and education from Fairfield University. She lives in Wallingford with her husband and two daughters who have danced for many years. She has taken dance classes since the age of 4 and hopes her students find as much joy in dance as she does!
Aliza Cunningham

Aliza Cunningham

Aliza Cunningham has trained extensively in dance for over 25 years with several dance companies, including the legendary Philadanco (Philadelphia Dance Company) Training Company. 

Recently, she has taken extensive course work in Dance Education though she already possesses a BS in Psychology and an MA in Counseling Psychology. She has taught dance and choreographed for over 20 years and continues to train.
Aliza has brought her talent and passion to teaching at Act III since 2011.
Heather Shubert

Heather Shubert

Heather Shubert has been dancing since she was three years old, training with New Steps Dance Center throughout her elementary and high school years in all types of dance. 

At New Steps, she was an assistant teacher, working with preschool up through teenage levels of dance. Heather has continued dancing into adulthood and continues to further her training here at Act III. She assisted at Act III in 2015, then began teaching in here in 2016. She has extensive experience with children, working at a daycare in her early adult years, assisting with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, and providing consistent childcare for a family in Hamden with young children.

Heather is a mom to two daughters, one of whom dances at Act III. She is very excited to be teaching at Act III and shares her love of dance with her students!
